Brett Favre is a football player. Unpretentious and to the point. He seems to be  at peace with himself and with his outlook on the game of football.  You  can’t ask for more than that from a leader. Someone who can take over a game, lead a team and win the big ones. That’s Brett Favre.  He opens a new chapter in his career.  Favre is a three time MVP and no one knows if he’s good for more. But one thing we know is that Favre will give  the best effort that he could possibly give.

This will be a shining moment of a season for the Vikings. They have added a potent weapon in Favre, who has the experience to lead them to the Super Bowl.  This should be a good transition for Brett Favre because he comes to a system that he is used to. So he should be able to step in and run the team fairly easy. Favre came into this adventure, he did not work out like he used to. He ended up working with the Kids as a coach. So as much as he loved the game, he loved it more playing than coaching.  So we are in for a treat again this year to see Farve make a difference and lead the Viking to the playoffs or maybe even the Super Bowl.

Brad Childress said that he thought he would reach out once again to Brett Favre; just by chance Favre might take him up on the offer to come and quarterback the Vikings.  He went out of the line and asked. Favre was ready to try it again. The rest is anticipation. Perhaps Favre is ready. We will have fun determining if that is the case.

Brett Favre is back! Last year it seemingly was in a land far, far  away with the New York Jets, Not  in the Packers back yard and I might add, lots of folks are steaming mad.  Primarily the Green Bay Packers.  Will the Packer have motivation…Yes. Will Brett Farve have motivation….Yes, Yes!  It will make good reality football and lots of entertainment.  Suddenly the  spotlight has shifted from Michael Vick to Brett Farve.  The NFL ratings will be up this year.

The two quarter back the Viking have  are terrible.  So a 40 year old Brett Favre is not quite a bad idea of the Viking. So you have mad people in Minnesota, namely the two quarterbacks competing for starting jobs and you have  mad Green Bay Packer, primarily because  Brett Favre is back in the same division with them.  It really makes for some interesting drama. The Michale Vick story will  move a few slots down, probably to the relief of the Philadelphia Eagles and Vick. Everyone will be talking about Brett Favre’s return for the remainder of the year.

The only question that remains is whether Vick  has enough in the tank to make an impact this year. Only time will tell.Let’ sit back and enjoy the show

It official, Bret Favre is no longer a Packer. He’s a New York Jet. He’s going to the Big Apple, which has not seen a player of this magnitude since, well, Broadway Joe. Although Favre is somewhat reluctant, this will be a great move for him. He will literally own New York. The entire state will be focused on the Jets. Make no mistake this is a big time, high profile market.

The elevation of the Jets to the big time is evident with Farve. They now become meaningful in a town the the Giants owned with their Super Bowl victory this year. The Big Apple will be rocking with this trade. Favre probably isn’t aware of it now, but life just changed for him. The move to New York will test Favre. The fans there will not tolerate mistakes and they will let him know it. So he will be challenged by two things; carrying a team on his back to the playoffs, and pleasing demanding New York Jets Fans.

But Favre is a great quarterback and he is up to the challenge. He also has an awful lot to prove. Perhaps hoping against hope that he will meet the Packers in the playoffs. This season will be fun to watch. A high profile quarterback in New York with a chip on his shoulders; a great combination. More to Come.

Well here’s the latest in the Brett Favre situation. Mike McCarthy has made it clear, that Favre is not wanted. And Favre has made it clear that he does not want to be in Green Bay if he’s not wanted. While the Packer faithful are busy saying in unison: “Say it ain’t so”. But guess what, ‘it is so”. Mike McCarthy made it clear the Brett Favre would never again appear in a Packer uniform.

McCarthy said he and Brett Favre said that they both agreed to disagree. Favre said that he was not ready to play for the Packers. So it appears that a trade is eminent or a release from the team. The entire situation is in a word; regretful. That the Packers would carry this situation to this point. It appears that Tampa Bay, Chicago or Minnesota may be trade possibilities. The next couple of days will determine what happens.
