The more we learn about President Obama, the more we are exposed to his strategic and calculating nature. Obama is a consensus builder and at times appears reluctant to lead. That is both a deceiving observation and a simplistic analysis. Obama is calculating and patient in his approach to foreign policy. He waits for the right opportunity to act and uses unconventional tactics to achieve an end result. His leadership at the G-20 summit was nothing short of brilliant, convincing many of America’s allies to act in opposition to Iran’s nuclear activity.
This is a staunch contrast from the George Bush days when all too often the ship headed to sea without a rudder. Bush felt that a consensus was something on the agenda at at fine restaurant. Buy in and getting other nations on board during the Bush administration was a non starter. Obama waited patiently to act against Iran. During Iran’s presidential elections, Obama withheld comments on the political unrest during the Presidential elections . Like a poker player, he did not play his hand. Despite criticism from less enlightened rivals, Obama held firm until just the right moment. By maneuvering into a leadership position on the world stage, Obama finally suggested unilateral action against Iran with support from world leaders.

Wall Street financial firms reportedly received 18 million dollars in bonuses for 2008, this after the Government bailed them out. They took tax payer money after many of us have been laid off, or as some of you are still working, but faced to take a week off without pay, and receive no bonuses to boot. What give them the right to take our money and spend it on bonuses when we have to cut back on food and other amenities just in order to make it?
I guess as usually, they think they are priveledged and entitled to the good life, while the rest of us struggle to make it on our own with no health insurance, living on severance pay, and on the brink of being homeless. Think about it. Make phone calls to your congress person, your senator. President Obama called all of these bandits out on this today. Now the American people should do the same.
Many believe that the evidence has been tainted because of how the Bush administration handled their detention. This means that a new evidence tree must be built to retry the individuals. This strategy was not used at all doing the Bush administration. It would in effect, not be a problem today if the Bush administration did not approach the detainment in an incorrect way.
The tone and strategy was completely different in that President Obama actually expressed humanitarian relief to the Palestinian people. He also expressed unwavering support for Israel. This is a definite break from approaches used in this region by previous Presidents.

Americans are still losing their jobs at a record pace and we are still dealing with carryover of the same problems we faced in 2008. It will take drastic measures in order to jump start the economy to growth and create jobs. Over 455,000 jobs were lost in December and the unemployment rate hover at a staggeing 7%. President Elect Barack Obama has his work cut out for him and to remains to be seen, it we can move out of the economic mess we are now in.
President Elect Barack Obama will use the same bible that President Abraham Lincoln used for his inauguration. Obama, an ardent student of history and particularlyof the life President Lincoln, is also retracing the steps that Lincoln used to travel to his inauguration by rail. This is a nice touch and sheds light on the history of the Lincoln era, when he led the country through a period of immense turmoil while preserving the union during the War Between The States (Civil War). It was during this period that Lincoln made the decision to free the slaves. What are your feeling about Obama’s attention to history?
Seth Curry is becoming a scoring machine at Liberty College in Virginia. He is Stephen Cury’s brother and according to Steph Curry, Seth has the potential to be even better. There apparently was a lot of sibling rivalry while growing up; but this served to make them both better. Seth Curry is number 17th in scoring by the nations freshmen, so this give you a good idea about his potential.
According to the Anchorage Daily News, the future Mother-In-Law of Bristol Palin was arrested on Drug Charges. According to the Anchorage newspaper, Sherry Johnson Johnston, Mother of Levi Johnston was charged with six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance. Johnston was released on $2,000 Bond. Governor Sarah Palin’s office di not issues a statement.
