My take on the ” Decision”  is “that LeBron James may have made a wrong decision in choosing to participate in an hour long infomercial.  But he absolutely made the right decision in choosing the Miami Heat.

James by nature is at best a reluctant leader.  No one can ever accuse him of being a ball hog. In this regard he is another Magic Johnson.  James will make a huge difference and impact in Miami. He is a multi-dimensional player, who will average triple doubles nearly ever game.

Did he let Cleveland down? Absolutely.  Will they get over it? No

Rumors that John Calipari may be entertaining leaving Kentucky for a NBA job have not exactly proven to be unfounded.  Calipari has some motivation to leave.  Rod Strickland one of the assistant on his staff was charged with DUI, this  month and Calipari’s recruiting class does not exactly measure up to the John Wall show that entertained us all last season at Kentucky

Everyone knows that Calipari has a way of wiggling his way out of situations that suggest  scandal.  He had many allegations at Memphis and he will continue to have more at Kentucky. For Calipari scandal is no stranger and Kentucky knew this before they hired him. But Kentucky will pay any price to have a  national championship.

The President and the Vice President are the only elective federal officials, not chosen by  direct vote of the people. They are elected by members of the electoral college  an institution provided for by the U.S. Constitution. Each state chooses as many electors as is has senators and representatives in Congress.  Electoral votes needed to win 270.  In the 2008 Presidential election Obama won 365 electoral votes to McCain’s  173.

Americans are in a climate where they expect excellence and proven value. They also expect everyone to deliver on promises. Mediocrity is not an option.

Americans are mad and they aren’t going  to take it anymore. They are mad at politicians, they are mad at doctors, institutions, government, local government……the list is huge!  Politicians over promise and under deliver.  Retailers, banks,  lie, cheat, and steal, and deny it with a straight face. It is without a doubt a  climate ripe with deceit.

Is there an end to this madness? Not in the short run. We created this mess over a lifetime and now we just have to dig ourselves out.

LeBron  James and the Cavs appear to have faded once again in the playoffs.  After going up two games to zero over the Celtics the Cavs faltered and now appear on the verge of  losing the series. The Celtics who are now up 3 games to  two over the Cavs  need only to win the next game in Boston.  LeBron James scored 15 points on  3 of 14 shooting and literally disappeared.  Is it really LeBron James’ fault or is he pre-occupied with leaving Cleveland to head to New York to play for the Nets or the Knicks?   We will soon find out the motive, LeBron James is just to good a player disappear in such an important game.   Mike Brown, the  Cavs ineffective coach,  seemed to be out coached nearly every playoff season. Is it time for him to leave as well?

Changes  need to be made in Cleveland and perhaps LeBron James needs to move on.  But he will need to make a stand somewhere and he will have to have  teammates around him who can produce and not just be role players.  Shaquille O’Neal is finished, washed up, irrelevant.  The bottom line is the Cavs must win the games that count. That means the Cavs absolutely must win playoff games.

Tim Tebow is a Denver Bronco!  I must admit I am a Tim Tebow Fan.  I think it is great that he received this opportunity. It would not surprise me at all, typical Tim Tebow fashion, that he will have a great pro career.  Tebow has great character and he is someone who  knows  Jesus Christ.  I will not harp on that fact, but I respect his beliefs  and glad that he  is willing to stand up and speak out about it. The Denver Bronco organization took the leap of faith  in drafting Tebow.

I think it is great for the NFL and good for the Broncos. Congratulations Tim Tebow.

Social media is now growing to be a viable alternative for media outlets interested in growing marke share and selling new ad conteent. The publishing landscape is changing with newspaper filling bankruptcy increasing numbers, while newspaper publishers are seeking quick answers to grow readership and online market share.  Therein lies the relatively new interest in social media.

Everyone in the media industry is working hard to find solutions interactively to propel readership and increase online interactivity.  It is safe to say this is in fact the wave of the future and while there is no silver bullet, this could be the bulls eye that media outlets are looking for.

You would think that American Idol would be a legitimate medium to discover musical talent  and to promote the best talent available. Instead it is proven to be an undemocratic, weighted forum of  judges who most definitely  are  biased in their  thought process.  They are  a mindless lot who follow Simon Cowell, as if he were the Pied Piper.

Someone, curiously,  died and made Simon King.  Not only does  he control the assistant judges, Randy, Ellen,  and Cara,  he does a more than adequate job of  controlling  the viewer/ voters.  Steering them through innuendo and bias commentary to vote for the ultimate  designated winner, who receives perceived fame, glory, and most of all the crown  of  the latest and greatest  American Idol.

Can the American people be trusted to vote at all?  If you are being led by Simon Cowell to vote for someone who is less than qualified to be  the American Idol, there is definitely  help for you. Turn off the television set, or better yet flip to another channel. Be freed from Simon’s influence.  By all means don’t give Simon Cowell more power than he deserves. Besides he’s leaving and he won’t have you to bully and kick  around anymore.

As innovation continues to  progressively lead the technology category, the poster child for  technological advancement is Apple.  Apple is not  shy about making new friends and matching them up with an audience that is well fascinated with more technological gadgets.  The IPad is the latest offering from Apple and whether or not minor bugs may be within, the Ipad is destined to become a hit.  Apple and innovation have a way of converging to create a  powerful force and  to drive sales right off the technological chart.

The reality is the Apple has a lock on the market and market share for the “I” series pf products. There is no distant second.  Apple is at the top of the leader board for innovation and creativity. When it comes to sales, Apple has no equal when it comes to the “I” series of products.
